Everyone keeps on asking me where I’m going to visit on this trip. I keep on telling you people, I have no idea! But that’s not exactly true. I do have a bit of an idea. Here are a few of my way points.
- I’m arriving in Saigon on Friday. I have a hotel (not a hostel…can you believe it?) through Tuesday, 4/8.
- I’m going to see Angkor Wat in NW Cambodia at some point. Don’t know when.
- The trip from Cambodia to Chiang Mai seems to be a long one so I may fly this. Or maybe I’ll skip Thailand and go from Cambodia right to Laos.
- It seems that there is a new year celebration in Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand on April 13. I’ll likely be in one of those countries for this time.
- I’m definitely going to pass through Laos. At this time it’ll be somewhere between 4/12 and 4/16. Then Hanoi, where I want to see the Halong Bay.
- I’ll need at least three days and hopefully 10 to make my way from Hanoi down to Saigon again. So, that means I’ll be along the Vietnamese coast for my last week (4/23-4/30) and maybe longer.
I’ve played around with Google’s travel maps. It seems like this may be a good way to log my progress. Keeping on checking this blog for info on where I am.
